Time Addition Rule
If a ride is closed for refurbishment/temporarily closed, and is still out of operation by the time you complete every other ride, you will need to add a certain amount of time to your run to account for the ride(s). The times can be found in the table below. For example, if Jessie's Critter Carousel is temporarily closed, and you have completed all other attractions in DCA, you will need to add 10 minutes to your final time. This is done to create equity around everyone’s runs and ensure everyone is given an equal chance despite unforeseen ride circumstances or ride maintenance.

The time addition rule (2.0) puts all of the rides into one of 6 tiers. These tiers have a single time that you will add for that ride. This is done to simplify the time addition process. Below you can find the table that lists what tier each ride is in, as well as how much time to add for each tier.
The rides are placed into the tiers through a mathematical process that takes into account the ride’s average overall wait time combined with its typical ride duration time. The data is taken from the website thrill-data.com.
Additionally, a separate set of tiers exists for rides that utilize lightning lane. If you are attempting a speedrun WITHOUT lighting lane, you will refer to the first table, if you are attempting a speedrun WITH lightning lane, the second table adjusts the lightning lane rides to a time that is more accurate to what it would have been having used a lightning lane. (Note all non lightning lane rides’ additions are unchanged between the two tables). This is done to address the common issue of runners attempting lightning lane runs and having to take large time additions due to a ride being down. Runners can now take time additions that are more accurate to what it would have been if they had used a lightning lane on the ride.

Disneyland is always changing. Within the next few years there will be brand new rides open and/or current rides that close down permanently. However in the midst of all of this, a fair way of conducting a leaderboard across different points in disneyland’s ongoing history is needed for this game to continue.

And that is where the “Adjusted Final Time” comes in. Let’s say Player A completes a California Adventure speedrun in early 2025. A few years later in 2029 when the two new Avengers Campus rides open, this run would be nearly unbeatable since there are two rides that Player A did not ride. Additionally, Player A completed their run right before the Red Car Trolley closed permanently. This means a California Adventure Speedrun will look wildly different just a few years later.

In order to account for this, the Adjusted Final Time will be computed as follows. Based on the data provided, any rides that are NOW permanently closed will have their times removed. Additionally the time addition of the brand new rides will be added. This will make it so that the Adjusted Final Time gives a time that can be competed against.

For the time being, the Final Time will still be the time that determines the leaderboard ranking (this may change in the future)
This time cannot (and will not) be computed if not all data is provided. If it is unknown when someone got on and off the red car trolley, a subtraction of the time cannot be computed.

For the time being, the Adjusted Final Time will have a slow rollout and may not be computed for every category due to a lack of competition, however it will eventually be added.
