The Rules

IMG_6814_edited.jpg

Follow all of Disneyland's Official Rules

You are not allowed to break any of Disneyland’s Official Park Rules and Regulations

Doing so will disqualify your run. Though not explicitly stated in Disneyland’s Rules and Regulations, you are NOT allowed to run or jog. Running and jogging are defined by if both of your feet are off the ground at the same time. Speed walking is okay.

Be kind and courteous to guests and Cast Members around you. Do not cut in line. Do not be a nuisance to Cast Members or guests.

Keeping Record of Time

Eat a substantial meal and drink water

At some point during your run (if it lasts more than 5 hours), you are required to eat a “substantial meal” which is defined as any entree. Failing to do so will result in your run being invalid. Snacks like popcorn and churros do not count as meals. You do not need to buy from the park, you are allowed to pack your own food as long as it is a substantial meal. You are highly encouraged to eat something before you begin your run.

You (or your helper) are required to have a bottle of water on hand at all times.

These rules exist to protect you and your health. If you feel at any point that your health is being compromised, stop the run and seek immediate help from a Disneyland Cast Member.

Time Additions/Penalties

Players are expected to keep track of the time of day when they enter the queue of a ride, and the time they have exited the ride. This applies for every ride in the challenge. This is necessary to confirm that the run was done on one singular day. Some ways that one can keep track of this is through live tweeting when getting in line and exiting a ride, or continuously recording with a GoPro or other camera paired to real time. (all times will obviously be in PST).

You are not required to record your speedrun, however it is highly recommended to record as much as you can, as it helps with verifying the run for the leaderboard! For example, Trevin, the founder of Disneyland Speedrun recorded continuously for the entire day with his chest-strapped GoPro and took note of when the camera turned off via a specific twitter account. This is one complex way to keep track of the time. Players are encouraged to use whatever way works best, however their times must be accurate and honest. Record as much information as possible, and we will work with your information to provide a good break down of the speedrun for the leaderboard. Complete information is highly highly highly reccomended!

Additionally, players are REQUIRED to have a stopwatch on them during the run

The “Time Addition Rule” has its own section due to the length of its explanation. Click here to view it.

Additionally, the one and only penalty: "Inconvenient Hours Penalty" in this challenge has its own section here.

No Lightning Lane Premier Pass

As of right now, runs that utilzie "Lightning Lane Premier Pass" will not be accepted. A major part of strategizing your speedrun is working with the lightning lane return times. Premier Pass eliminates this element. It is possible that in the future I will accept runs using premier pass, however for now, Lightning Lane runs can ONLY use Multi-Pass and Single-Pass.
