The Clarifications

Time will NOT be deducted due to a ride breakdown

If you are on a ride and it breaks down, the timer will continue to run. This unfortunate situation can simply be labeled as “bad RNG.” However, no matter how far you are on the ride, if you are evacuated, you can consider the ride complete, you do not need to go back to it later. If the ride breaks down and you are still in line, you will have to go back to it if it reopens before completing the rest of the rides in your category.

When the timer starts and stops

The timer officially starts at the time of Rope Drop (8am) or if it is after 8am, the moment your ticket is scanned into the park. If you are utilizing Early Entry, the timer will start 30 minutes earlier than 8am at 7:30am. The timer will strictly start at 8 or 7:30 even if rope drop is delayed. The timer does not stop during the run for any reason including when eating, using the restroom, or switching out batteries/SD cards. The timer only stops once you have left the exit queue of the final ride in your category that is operational. For example, if Grizzly River Run is your final ride, the timer does not stop until you have stepped off of the last stair of the ride’s exit stairs.

You are allowed to have helpers

Your helper(s) are permitted to reserve lightning lane reservations for you, assess wait times, strategize, live tweet, hold your items, or get food for you. Your helpers do not need to complete the challenge with you.  However, helpers are not permitted to stand in line for a ride for you for any reason. You are also not permitted to use any Lightning Lanes under their name for yourself. The Lightning Lanes or Multi Experience Passes that you use MUST be ones distributed to YOU, not your helper. Your helper(s) are simply there to help you strategize, reserve lightning lanes, record footage, acquire food and hold items for you.

Which rides are included?

Rides are defined as “Attractions that move”

The list below includes all attractions (as listed on the Disneyland website) that move. The raft to get to Pirates Lair is not a required ride because the raft itself is not listed on the website- the island itself is.

Additionally, the Pixar-Pal-A-Round is only listed once despite there being two seperate sides to the ride (swinging and non-swinging) listed as attractions. This is a rule change as of late 2024. Due to the clear redundancy of riding the ferris wheel twice, you are allowed to choose just one side of the ferris wheel would like to ride to consider the Pixar-Pal-A-Round complete.

Ride Clarrifications

1. If the Disneyland railroad is a part of your challenge, you can start from any station you would like and get at the next station for the ride to be considered "complete." This is a rule change from the past that required runners to do a full ciricle loop on the train. This rule has been updated to allow more ease for runners and to stay consistent with other "all rides" challenges that currently exist.

2. The monorail can also be completed by just traveling from the disneyland hotel stop to the tomorrowland stop or vise versa. However during a speedrun, it makes practical sense to stay on the monorail for the full loop, just know that it is not required.

3. You only have to go on one of the four main street vehicles since the ride is listed as one attraction on the Disneyland attractions page. For these vehicles, you can start near City Hall and end in Central Plaza or vice versa for the ride to be considered "complete."
